Express Digital Honors Jim Roshan
As Its 2002 Trail Blazer Award Recipient
Englewood, CO, January 15, 2003 - Express Digital, the leading

professional photography businesses, announced Jim Roshan as the 2002
recipient of its Trail Blazer Award, honoring an individual or organization
that has demonstrated extraordinary commitment, dedication, leadership
and service to the development and success of digital photography.
The award was presented to Jim Roshan at the National Event Photographers
Conference in Dallas, Texas on January 8, 2003. Graham McFarland,
President and CEO of Express Digital presented the award to Jim prior
to delivering the keynote address at the conference.
Jim Roshan is a long-time professional digital photographer as well as,
the Executive Director and founder of the International Association of
Professional Event Photographers (IAPEP). In 2002, Jim founded IAPEP as
a way to organize, educate and share information among the fastest growing
segment of professional photography. In less than a year, Jim has grown
the organization to over 500 members, primarily digital photographers
from all over the world. In addition to his work with IAPEP, Jim has traveled
the globe as a professional photojournalist, whose work appeared regularly
in such publications as Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, GQ, People and
The New York Times. His sports photography has appeared in Sports
Illustrated, Baseball Weekly and numerous daily newspapers. Jim's love of
sports action photography and the advent of digital imaging prompted him to
develop a second career as a sports action event photographer for all types
of school and league sports teams, including basketball, softball and baseball,
soccer, football and wrestling the type of business he says, anyone with
a love of the game can develop.
