Meet with the senior and parent(s) to get educated. Learn about the Senior and make the initial sale. Book the shoot.
SET UP YOUR STUDIO
Prepare a reception area.
Set up studio locations including outside shots, inside shots, backdrops and props.
Build a dressing room.
Design a viewing room with projector, computer and ExpressDigital Darkroom software.
Set up a printing and work room to prepare the final products.
AT THE SHOOT
Before the clients arrive create a photo catalog in the Darkroom software.
Welcome the senior and parent(s) to your studio. Offer refreshments.
Show the senior to the dressing room and have him or her set up.
Check out the senior’s clothing choices. Recommend specific outfits that will match up with studio locations.
Play music from the senior’s iPod, Zune or favorite CD’s.
Set up the shooting areas based on the clothing.
Shoot photos of senior. Use camera cards, tethering or wireless tethering to work with the photos in Darkroom.
Close the session with a thank you and book the viewing session.
AFTER THE SHOOT
Load pictures into ExpressDigital Darkroom from the photo cards.
Make edits to highlight your best work. Use the Photo Workshop in the Darkroom software to quickly edit color, crop and apply effects. Choose the best pictures to show the client.
Buy ExpressDigital Templates, purchase templates from partner companies or make your own templates in the Template Workshop. Templates are great for collages, portraits and more!
Retouch one or two photos in the Retouch Workshop to show the client an example of retouching. Whiten teeth, remove braces, clear up acne, etc.
VIEWING SESSION
Welcome the senior and parent(s) back to the studio. Put a collection of the Senior’s best pictures on the flat screen monitor in the lobby.
Sit the clients down in the viewing room and offer refreshments.
Show the clients a slideshow of their photos (the best ones you selected) set to music in Darkroom’s Presentation Mode. Show a collection of unique composites and creative borders with the photos. This is time to up-sell.
Go through each photo and rate the photos with the clients.
Present the client the package options and specialty items.
Sort by rating in the Darkroom software and show the 5-star photos.
Narrow down the favorites by using the comparison feature in Darkroom.
Make selections of the package and photos within Darkroom.
Print a thumbnail receipt from Darkroom and collect payment.
Schedule a day to pick up the order.
