How to Offer Multi Pose Packages on your
Photoreflect.com Storefront

Summary:

Until Recently, Photoreflect.com only allowed photographers to offer single pose packages for sale on their storefronts. For example, if a photographer offered a package that consisted of 1 - 8x10, 1 - 5x7, and 4 wallets, the customer could only choose one pose for all 3 items in the package.  This means that in order to allow a customer to order an 8x10 of their child scoring the winning goal, a 5x7 of their child heading the soccer ball, and some wallets of their child stretching before the game, the photographer had to offer three packages each with one item in it. Now a photographer can offer a single package containing all three items (or more) and the customer can choose each pose for the package item individually.

Symptoms:

Many photographers like the idea of offering packages in order to drive higher sales totals. If you are a photographer who sells packages instead of a la carte items, and would like to allow your customers the ability to choose which pose goes with each package Item, this article will show you how.

Requirements:

You must be using the latest Darkroom product, and a current photoreflect.com storefront style.

Solution:

Because this is a feature that is desirable to some but not all photographers, you must enable this feature in order to use it. To enable multi pose packages on your storefront, visit the online storefront manager by going to www.photoreflect.com and clicking on the manage my account on line link located under the photographers section or just click on the following link https://www.photoreflect.com/dr3/login.aspx

Sign in with your Photoreflect.com username and password, click on Change your E-Commerce Options, and check the box to enable multi photo packages. Click the save button at the bottom of the page so in order to apply the changes, and then log out.

Now that the option is turned on, you can set up your packages in Darkroom. While configuring your packages, you will notice that you have two ways to add multiple items. One way is to increase the quantity of each item. The other way is to simply add the same item more than once.

For example:
If you would like to offer a package that has three 5x7 photos in it, you could add a 5x7 and change the quantity to 3, or you could click add print item, and choose 5x7 three different times. In the first scenario you would see only 1 representation of a 5x7 item in the package but under the quantity column you would see a quantity of 3 displayed. In the second scenario you would see three separate respresentations of the 5x7 item each with a quantity of 1.

If you wish to offer a package that forces the customer to choose two 5x7 of the same pose, but gives them an option two choose 4 different 4x6 photos, you would set your package up like this:

Click add print item...
Choose a 5x7 print item, and click on the count column. Now click the up arrow to indicate that you want the count to be 2.
Click Ok...
You should see 5x7 print (5x7) under the description column, and 2 under the quantity column.

Now click on add print item again...
Choose a 4x6 print item, do not increase the count. It should remain at 1.
Click Ok...
You should now see 5x7 print (5x7) quantity 2 and 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1.

Now click on add print item again...
Choose a 4x6 print item, do not increase the count. It should remain at 1.
Click Ok...
You should now see 5x7 print (5x7) quantity 2, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1.

Now click on add print item again...
Choose a 4x6 print item, do not increase the count. It should remain at 1.
Click Ok...
You should now see 5x7 print (5x7) quantity 2, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1,  4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1.

Now click on add print item again...
Choose a 4x6 print item, do not increase the count. It should remain at 1.
Click Ok...
You should now see 5x7 print (5x7) quantity 2, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1,  4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1, 4x6 print (4x6) quantity 1.

Notice that every new print item that you add to your package will allow the customer to order an individual pose for that item.
If you use the count option for an item in your package, your customer will be forced to order one pose for those items.
