Select a catalog in the PhotoLibrary and then switch over to the PhotoWorkshop. The default sort method is by Photo Number. A photo number is assigned based on the date modified information embedded in the image file.
For example, if you take photo number 35 of 457 and change it to Black & White; when you click the "save as new photo" button, the date modified information written to that file is the most recent in the catalog. As a result, it will appear as photo number 458 of 458.
This can be a nuisance if you want to keep all of the same images (saved with different effects) together.
To change this, click on the Catalog button at the bottom-left of the screen and select Sort Photos. Select Sort Photos by Filename. You will now see that the photo numbers look out of order, but your original (35 of 458) image is just above your edited image (458 of 458).
If the photo numbers are now distracting, you can select View and Show Photo Numbers to hide them. Changing the display order from Ascending to Descending is done by selecting Catalog -> Sort Photos -> and choosing your desired ordering criteria. |
