Included with this article are two files for each year, calendarY2x6-####.png and calendarY4x3-####.png.
1. Download the zipped file for the appropriate year you want for your calendar. We will use the 2007 calendar files as an example.
2. Once the .zip file is downloaded, use a program such as Winzip or Stuff It to open the .zip file.
3. Extract the files to a folder on your desktop. You may want to create a new folder for this purpose.
4. Open the folder on your desktop and look at the files. In the case of the 2007 Calendar files, you will see two graphic files, one called 'calendarY2x6-2007.png' and the other called 'calendarY4x3-2007.png'. You will need to right click on each file in turn, select rename, and rename them to 'calendarY2x6.png' and 'calendatY4x3.png' respectively.
5. Open the Darkroom software.
6. Minimize the Darkroom software by clicking on the “_” icon in the upper right portion of the application screen.

X:\Templates\Borders\Sample Borders\Specialty
If you are using Darkroom Web edition, you will need to follow this file path:
C:\Program Files\ExpressDigital\Darkroom WE\Photos\Templates\Borders\Sample Borders\Specialty
8. Copy ‘calendarY2x6.png’ and ‘calendarY4x3.png’ into the Specialty folder. If Windows asks you to replace the current files, select “Yes.”
9. Once the files are copied into the Specialty Folder, close My Computer and your Darkroom software.
10. Re-open your Darkroom software. Add the calendar border to any image to make sure it is functioning. If it is not opening properly, please review steps 1-10. |
